He Toki Koe Stamp
He Toki Koe is a figure of speech used to express how great and talented a person is at something.
The mangōpare pattern, commonly seen within kōwhaiwhai in whare tupuna, represents the hammerhead shark and symbolises perserverance and strength — traits required to master a skill or talent.
Title: he toki koe
Meaning: you're so talented, you're so clever, you're a champion
Direct translation: you're as sharp as an adze, you're a champion
toki: adze, axe, also champion, star
